I know it's not vintage, but I wrapped the bare shell with gold sparkle-brite because some idiot cut a big 2 inch hole in it. I just wanted to show it off, this is only temporary until I order some real wrap from Jammin Sam, thanks.

I wish that i would still have my piccolo copper free floater , that snare to me is one of my all time fav snare drums , i'm still on the hunt for a replacement.

Nice snare and they sound great bummer! about the hole but it is an easy fix removing that sparkle brite might be hell at times is left on too long .

I've got the 4" wood-shell free floater (actually I believe the shell is 3" and the floating rim adds an inch). Amazingly crisp. I use it just for brush work.
So for what conceivable reason would someone put a 2" whole in that shell?
Certainly not for a mount. Maybe a sound port? Stupid!
