Pearl Set 2 toms 1 floor and a kick, want to know how old and what they're worth Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hey everyone,

So I got this nice pearl drumset complete with a custom tama snare and zildjian cymbals from a guy who used to play a ton of gigs. I have since lost interest in the set but I want to keep the snare and cymbals for my band (I play guitar now.) The pearl drums are jet black and have no series name (i.e. Vision or Forum, etc.) but they do each have their own serial number. the toms are serial numbers 529885, 529755, and 529688, from high to low. The kick drum is 529556. They look to be a decade or two old. Does anyone have any idea what these puppies are worth?

These look to be Exports right before they were called Exports-around 1984.Unless there is some indication that the wood is something other than Luan-maybe Maple. There would be a price difference of about $100 between Luan and Maple. It's the tom arms that are throwing me,because they are Export-entry level, not the high end totally adjustable ones.

the drums on the inside look like they are sprayed with some sort of absorbant layer....I attached a photo.

and the tom arms can rotate at the base, bend at the joint, and can also tilt the toms.

Yes,these are pre-Export base-model drums.$150 would be about right, maybe ask $175,if all the rims, hoops and the logo bass head are present.Good workhorse all around set.No bottom rims or lugs-$125.

Why is it so hard to find appraisals of drums on the net? I cant seem to find the drum I found. Thats a pretty nice set you have there too. I'm glad to see your going to bring it out of commission for someone to play!

Rock on Drummers!!!

those are what the pearl forums became. i had a double bass set of these as my first kit. the unmistakable "something other than wood" on the inside of the toms. i think the whole shell is made of that though.
