I like Apple too, just super overpriced to me.
My German sheppard, Shelby, digs music. Lays right next to the set when I play. She really likes when i play the guitar, sings along to the high notes.
Back when I was in high school we had a cat. Her name was Mercy and she was a great cat: she ate with her front paws when the Fancy Feast cans were running low, she'd kill the mice around the house and leave the heads on the back stairs as trophies to be found, and she'd go number 1 in the toilet.
One day I was in bed about to get up and she strolls in. I admire her grey coat and think "Now there's a great cat. Look at that sleek coat! She's got to be 8 years ol..." and she turns and rubs her ass up and down against one of the spurs from my stencil drum kit. In a flash, she sprayed a quick blast of sticky, stinky 'cat juice' all over the leg and side of the drum, and ran out of my room.
Okay. Don't judge me. Back in the 90's I smoked a bit of "tobacco" product and my cat at the time Girzles loved getting in my 1960 Gretsch bass drum for shotguns. She got in there the first time and wouldn't come out so I blew her a shotgun. She got stoned and liked it. After that, if I had a gig and took my drums home she would climb inside the kick and thump her paws on the reso head to let me know she wanted the human catnip. She also could open lever set doors and I taught her to fetch paper balls. She was a black and white cat similar to the one I have now. In 2006 she died of diabetes. I still miss her to this day. My new cat Mina is cool and so is my English Bulldog Howie Longstreet.

Your a sick man.
Girzles was going "green" before going green was trendy!
Go Green! (Michigan State!)
I have a cat and a dog story. First, I have an all black cat (see picture) that was rescued by a friend when his tail was caught in a conveyor at an airport. We call him Jet...go figure. Anyway, he used to spray before we had him turned into an "it." He had the largest set I'd ever seen on a cat, so I dealt with it for a long time, out of respect for - and the fact that my friends would comment on - his "manhood." Anyway, I had him neutered a few days after he sprayed my cymbal bag, which stained the bottom hihat cymbal I was using at the time. He hasn't sprayed anything since.
My dog story is similar to John's (Purdie Shuffle) cat story. I keep a kit in the lead guitarist in my band's spare room (our rehearsal room). His wife has a chihuahua that used to go in there and leave piles around my drums. I wish I could have caught that dog sleeping inside the bass drum...BOOM!!!
