Just curious but are those extra holes in the 12" mounted tom? Also something looks wrong with the single tom mount? Those are gorgeous drums and in my favourite wrap.Enjoy them for years to come...They are a thing of beauty!Wayne

Looks like the muffler is missing on the 8x12, that would explain the holes you see in the pic.

Tom arm looks like it is backwards.

Yes, tom arm is reversed, but note that the double tom mount on the bass has been replaced with a single post collet. Nothing wrong with that as it requires no additional drilling or mutations. I did the same thing on one of my Rogers sets. I just find this setup places the single 12" tom in the right position for me; the same position it would be if mounted on the double tom post with the 13".

A very nice set overall, in a great finish, for a good price. It's always wonderful to see these unused, closet queens find their way back into the hands of a drummer.

While that is a possibility the faucet style handles on the bass drum suggest Cleveland and the kit may have had the early style dogbone double tom holder..... and yes it is reversed in any case it is a steal and a great find congrats.

Mike,

I was thinking about the possibility of the dog-bone tom mount also, but those bass T-rods aren't faucets. Take a look at the picture brightened up a bit, and you'll see they appear flat. So this might be Dayton era. We won't know for certain until pics of the badges are posted. No matter what they turn out to be, this is a beautiful set. Can't wait to see them all cleaned up.

Just got in and desperately need sleep, but I'll get those badges up tomorrow afternoon with more questions. I brought back a B/O pointy badge Vistalite kit too & more assorted stuff. The van i was supposed to take wasn't running well so I took my beater of a car and filled it to the brim. My family is going to help me get the v-drum up here next week.

What a roadtrip!! G'night y'all!

What a road trip indeed! Ya, Il bet your tired but damn happy. I have done it a few times myself, I always place the best pieces on the seat next to me or in view of the mirror so I can see them all the way home, well except for when the wife goes with, then I look at her, she is beautiful too!

Looking forward to the pics!

Thank you!
