Hi,

Here's what I bought for $800

The bass is a paper tagged Holiday Dayton 22"

There's a Holiday paper tagged Dayton 13" Tom, and the Dayton Dynasonic.

Also included is a 12" Fullerton. Not shown is a very clean 60's Red Sparkle Ludwig FT {Possibly for sale if I get the Cleveland 16" Rogers for sale from another member?}

Also included were a correct hi hat, peddle, snare stand, and double tom mounting hardware.

The BD has a single tom mount, and a knobby cymbal mount w/o the arm.

I'm using a snare stand for the 13" way off to the right side.

I'll probably just make it a 4 pc set.

The condition is pretty good except the wrap being tacked down in a spot on the rim.

Never owned a sort of Rock kit. Always smaller Jazz sizes.

I't's a players kit for me, and not too concerned about matchy, match

I've always wanted Rogers, and they just turned up on my way home form a friend's place.

Any observations would be appreciated.

Dayton era 22" BD is fairly uncommon,and the ones I have heard have sounded huge,if you can get a 16" that would make it a nice full range matching kit.The Dyna would go for 250.00 300.00 by itself I think. Considering that it's all there and ready to play and the extra hardware that sounds like a fair and square deal to me.

Plus Rogers are great drums.

post some pics of the interiors with the paper tags..let us know whick tag is in each drum..some of the guys here can tell you what yr..

I'm guessing 68...but I'm not the greatest..

I am not a big Rogers fan either myself. At the same time, if I came across a good deal, I would be tempted to pull the trigger, as I understand them to be about the best made and best sounding drums of that era hands down. I don't think anyone could argue against Rogers having the most durable hardware at that time - just look at the stuff! (and yes I have seen the backs of Rogers lugs from this era...very good heavy solid stuff.)

The only drawback would be the weight. Weight is one reason I like having nice looking and well restored, tuned MIJs.

Everybody loves the 20" Rogers and the 22" is just awesome, imo. Find yourself a 16 and wrap it. You'll love the kit. I just restored a whole set built around a 22" and I'm really enjoying it. Well done.

If your talking about the bass drum hoop inlay here I'm pretty sure Rogers used tacks to hold them in. Hopefully one of the Rogers guys can confirm this for you.

BTW really nice drums~!~! Your really going to like them.

Interesting. Yes the BD inlay on just one of the rims.

The tacks are old looking with a flat head, larger than a brad.

Does anyone know what level in the lineup the Holiday line was?
