I don't have a vistalite snare, so I really can't tell you about the snares. I do however, have a kit. And the tuning to me seems very different characteristically from wood. Wood is very warm while these vistas are very tin like or tinny to me. The stick response is very odd to me. So I don't use them very often. It's really hard to explain. A lot of people don't care for them. Some people swear by them. You just have to try it and see. In that condition, it should be pretty cheap. Take a chance and fix it up. if you don't like it, some one will buy it. Especially if it happens to be a three color.

Hell, I'd buy it just for the project of it if it was the right price.
I have 3 of them and really like them however anytime I've used one with a sound man all hear is *****ing.
