This looks like some type of cymbal mount or low-boy hi-hat part. Has DUPLEX on the lower part. The top washer is threaded and the felt is attached to it. Measures 5 3/4" high and the bottom piece with the logo on it is 1/2" diameter. Has 1/4-20" threads. If you can identify it can you point out to which piece of hardware it belongs? Many thanks!

Also: My earlier ID post from last week looking like a spider has been correctly ID'd as being twisted up rawhide strips! They each are crimped tightly to lengths of ball chain! Any ideas as to who, what, why?

Looks like it's made by Duplex, a hardware maker back in the 30s and 40s. It could be a short stand to hold a Greeko cymbal. It could have attached to a hoop clamp.
