i have a ludwig 14x6,5 black beauty with a olive blue badge and the serial is 1878883
i wanna know which date is the drum but can not find any information. and also no emai adress from ludwig.
so can anyone please help.

you got a a great drum there! It is from 1978/1979. Believe it or not, i have a 6,5 Black Beauty as well, Serial: 1878862.... Now that's close to yours, could be twins! Yes Sir

great,
and yes it sounds great,..so far way better than my supra phonic 14x6,5.. this snare is a also heavier than my new ludwig one, and has a damper inside...
so 1977-1979, right?
is it possible to find the exact date? / Year?
