From purdie shuffle

you have -thousands- of dollars worth of desirable drums and equipment there. Finding people who want them will not be a problem, finding someone with thousands to spend on a kit like yours may take a little time. You can write to, or call steve maxwell's in new york for a current market value estimate. At least you'll have an honest estimation of value. You'll do well with those. My condolences for your loss.John

thanks

yeah i hate to part with it ,

what you think its worth in your opinion with cases?

your step dad added the 10x14 and 12x15" those are the most money mounted tom drums in the group and very hard to find. you could get. $350.00 for the10x14" and 575.00 for the 12x15"

This was my kit since 93.

Bought all together ,

he passed away in june but im the drummer here not him.

Haha

sorry for the confusion.

Pains me to get rid of this but if i find the right buyer with the right cash,

i can buy another smaller kit.

Ive taken this thing apart twice like fonzi with the motorcycle on happy days and cleaned/ polished every inch of it.

I love this thing this sucks for me to have to do.

I could hang onto it for the right amount of cash, im not hurting for money really so id like to sell it to the right person too.

Thanks for all your input guys !

Catfish - $5000 is not 'out of line' for your kit. In fact it is probably more in the $6000 to $6500 dollar range. With a kit like yours you really need a reliable appraisal, which is why I 'suggested' that you contact Steve Maxwell's in New York. Direct them to this thread so they can see the photos and they will give you a fair market price to ask for your drums. Don't just 'wing' this, do it right. Take the time to do some homework (the appraisal) and then put them up for auction and let potential buyers duke it out for them. You stand to lose a lot if you're not diligent about this sale.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
