I got to the bottom of this. It's British made and it's either Premier or Olympic.

Might be a Beverley snare drum. I remember reading they made a Imperial lug look a like which was used on their snare drums. There used to be a gentleman here who worked for them back in the day. He posted some good info but was a few years ago as I recall. Nice drum! English made for sure.

Thanks Glenn. I'm sure these lugs are Ludwig imperial lugs, but I know the Beverley lugs that you mention. These are Ludwig as is the strainer and butt plate. I identified this drum as being British made after I saw a Premier snare from the 30's with the same features as this drum including the very same crimped snare bed which is a very distinctive feature of this shell.

Yes Beverley was my first thought looking at the lugs. They worked somewhat hand in hand with Premier through the years. I don't know if they made a 6 lug snare though. I was thinking of the Cosmic 21 which was 8 lugs I think. Either way very cool drum. Hope you get some answers! :)
