Maybe not "odd", but I can think of a couple of comments about my Ludwig Downbeat kit in the last month...

(At a recording session, from the engineer): "Man, those drums sound much better than your DWs!"

(Subbing at a gig, from the bandleader): "Does that cocktail kit sound like a real drum set when you hit it?"
