Who might you be referring to with that rather incindiary statement?

Think it might be "To whom", but I've been wrong before.

Perhaps just a general observation as to where the compass of this bloated, educational thread has been steered towards. Apologies, if I'm off base.

Perhaps.

Very cool "To whom" comment. Actually quite funny.

As for the direction it took ... I honestly was taken aback by the personal slam in Drumfactory post, when he first misread the thing. It ****ed me off and I was obviously wrong for popping him back.

But, after a couple of explanations ... well, it's pretty ridiculous.

It could have been quite a bit shorter had the guy not taken the road of paranoia. I did explain ... more than once.

I guess if you were misread to THAT extent, you, too would attempt to clarify ... to explain your intent. Granted, you most likely wouldn't have slapped him back, but I was ticked off. That is my mistake and one that I will either learn from or not. Time will tell.

It is uncomfortable to be in a situation where your words are ripped apart and then you are personally called out as one who has cast disparaging remarks at another innocent party.

You would do more than ignore it if it were to happen to you. Most would.

All good, RS. Guess we all need to understand the audience, before we start selling. Anyway, it's about the drums, history, education................and education.

Together, we all can create a more educated drum community. (Youwch!! That's sappy!)

Now, beat it!!! (Wish my drums were here)

Guys!...

Now THIS was quite an excercise in, and fine example of, loquaciousness in it's highest form! It is on it's 4th page I believe, and that has to say something again for the passion and the enjoyment some of you have for a hearty.. ( or possibly heated ) .. discussion. Nothing wrong with that of course, as long as it stays... civil ... which this one did. Still, it has probably run it's entire course and been flogged within an inch of it's life. I can't say that it wasn't an interesting read though! Indeed. So with that, we shall lock this one up as everything has been said, and everyone was able to get out of the room without a mark on them. I'll get the lights.
