Hi folks. I have this old porto-seat as you'll see here pictured. However, its very sloppy in that it seems there is a missing bushing or something on the post. For those who have a porto-seat with this style setup, would love to know if this is a correct match. Also, if you have any idea on the years for this style vs the other (post fits inside seat bracket)that would be great.
Porto-seat owners.....Is this the correct matching porto-seat post + seat bracket? Last viewed: 22 minutes ago
Missing top portion. View Ludwig Porto ebay sales to see what you're missing - c
Thanks. Trying to find a good picture and can't seem to find one to see whats missing....
The post that is missing, that your seat will fit into, is also the height adjustment of the throne. It has a slight bend so the seat sits parallel with the floor. It will have evenly spaced holes through which a bolt can pass to secure post at the desired height.Jim
Example of Rogers,Slingerland,Gretsch,Premier and Ajax sets.
Various '60's and '70's US,English and Japanese snare drums.
HELP,NEED MORE SPACE!
Actually, the post is there with the height adjustment. (in the picture it is pushed all the way down to the lowest setting) The issue is its very sloppy as I think its missing some sort of washer that would sit at the top of the post to make it a tighter fit.
Pretty sure your missing the insert, I have one of these seats but it's purely for show.
Not sure how anyone could really play their set with a seat like this compared to modern drum stools etc.. I think a canister throne could be used though.
I'll try to grab a shot of what your missing from my throne shortly if someone doesn't beat me to it :)
Thanks Eric. Much appreciated. Agreed that the seat is really just for show....
Here's the base, the seat should fit snugly.
Got it. Thanks. Makes sense now.
