Praise for Drum Farm Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Maybe I'm just feedback indoctrinated by feebay but I feel strongly in publicly thanking Bobby at Drum Farm for his kindness and great patience in helping me with my Rogers Mercury BD project. What a gentleman. Thanks again, Bobby.

I have purchased drums and hardware from Bobby, and I have traded drums, cymbals, and hardware with him. From my very first phone chat with him, he became a good friend whom I have never yet met. I have read criticisms of this establishment that say his merchandise is overpriced. A word to the wise is that Bobby loves to work out deals and trades-- not necessarily at the posted prices. Another word to the unwise is that Bobby is in business to make a profit. This is not merely a hobby. He deserves to make some money on every transaction even if the money to be made comes from when he sells something that was traded to him. Some of the gear in his shop cannot be found elsewhere--especially the Rogers stash.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Bobby's e-mail is spotty at best. He doesn't have a broadband connection at the farm. I live in Arkansas, a mostly rural state, and if I tell you he lives out in the sticks, you'll have to believe me. His location makes the rice fileds and bean fields of Arkansas seem like city parks.

I visited Bobby a few years ago.....What a treat!! I have had dealings with him since the late 80's or early 90's. All were good. I've even called him on occasion just to chit chat. He's a great guy.

Call him up on the phone!

He is admittedly a very nice guy and a serious talker if you ever get him started on drumming stories. He's very helpful and has a truckload of information he's willing to share. But, on the business end, I'm not impressed. I've done a few deals with him and all were less than spectacular. He sold me items that were misrepresented and demanded "more" after I sent him my merch. One particular deal went so bad that I literally sent him three packages of "extra" stuff just to stop his complaining. Let it be known that I in no way misrepresented anything to him. I had sent pictures and gave him links to my online video and let him know if it didn't meet his standards, ship it back ... I'll cover the freight. Instead, he called and emailed with complaint after complaint. He wouldn't ship it back. He wanted more. So, I sent him hard to find hardware bits ... Three freekin' times ... to get him to stop his complaining. I like the guy but will never make the mistake of doing business with him again. Just a bit unethical.

He,s eccentric for sure.If you can work around that you should be able to cut a deal,BUT,make sure you go over the details many times with him.Dont assume anything like getting getting the washers with your tension rods.Dont ask,he wont send them. There are a couple of winners like that here in fact..BEWARE!

Hit like you mean it!!

Bobby sold me a rogers eagle badge WMP shell which was needed to complete a collector set.It was only fifty bucks too! Finding peanut BnB lugs was never gonna happen so larger lugs were tacked on in place just for show.I LIKE the fact that he keeps his prices top dollar,or they would get stripped down for profit! Let's all keep vintage drum prices really high, then they will demand to be preserved.Hats off to drumfarm.
