Premier / Ludwig Mystery Drumset Last viewed: 28 minutes ago

Hi. Is there anyone who might know the make of this drumset? I was told it was a premier early 70s w/ ludwig lugs/hoops. I posted in the non-usa vintage section and they aren't sure either. The shell is 3-ply with re rings and white interior. No serial # s though. The tom hardware is Premier but I can't say for sure if this tom mount is original to the drum. They look to be maple at least on the outer ply.

Hi..Welcome to this great forum.I don't think your set is even a Premier set or a Ludwig set at all.I went over the photos the inside of the drums look to be M.I.J. shells one thing that leads me to think its is the inside ring at the edge of the drum it does not look like Ludwig to me at all nor Premier,the white paint looks to be a spray paint to me not like Ludwig's paint.Premier did not paint the inside of the shells white also.The mufflers on the inside of the toms look M.I.J. also.I would take off one lug and post a photo of it.It maybe a copy of a Ludwig lug M.I.J....Also photos of the legs and top of bass drum would help too..the question is why would someone put real Ludwig lugs on a M.I.J. or Premier shells?..What sizes are the drums?....Mikey

The sizes are 18x14, 12x8, and 14x14. Thanks for the info. I will post more pics up soon.
