Premier Royal Ace Small badge Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Hi everybody. This is Johan from Sweden and I am new at this forum. I am looking for info on the Premier Royal Ace Small badge snare. I purchased it about a week ago and I am very pleased with it but someone had tampered with the strainer mechanism, there are missing screws and dents in the strainerholder. My plan is to restore this wonderful snare into a original condition or atleast a good working condition. I am grateful for all info on restoring Royal ace snares and spareparts list, info regarding the threading( is it withworth ?) . Please forgive my bad english ;)

cheers //Johan

Jonathan,

Välkommen to the forum! First of all, no need to apologize aboit your English as I am quite certain your English is far better than most people's Swedish! (it might be better than some of our English as well) I have toured through your beautiful country several times (including a one-off show in Forserum which was one of the longest days of my life) and most of my European touring crew have been Swedish. Through that I have actually learned to master at least two or three Swedish words and now forgotten just about as many.

I am a Premier fan but can't really help as I don't know enough about these particular snares. There are several on this forum that do and I am certain they will chime in. Good luck.

Tackar! Forserum must be in Skåne or Småland. You are absolutely right, learning swedish is as hard as learning chinese ha ha ha. I am looking forward to restoring my snare and the hunt for parts is exciting. I got tired of new drums eventhough they sometimes sound just as good as the old brands. But I just fell in love with the feel of vintage drum, they got som serious spirit and quality. Thanks for your answer.

Cheers //Johan
