"Kent USA"? Last viewed: 16 hours ago

Listed as 're-wrapped' with one Japanese Kent badge, while others are Kent USA. Looks to me like a Star/Tama made, Fantasia Pearl stencil kit from early 70s. I'd suggest that perhaps the Kent Japan badge may be the only original. Thought about asking seller to display interior shell pics, but these would most likely be painted gray. Any thoughts on how to, (or should I?) approach seller? Seems to specialize in drums - surprised by inaccuracy of listing...

No suggestions on how to approach the seller, but if you're thinking of approaching the drums make sure you have your Ray-bans on!

I would just ask for interior pics. $1000 is a good chunk of change. You want to be sure the insides are clean and what they are supposed to be. Some sellers also have links to picture sites sometimes with dozens more pictures. Maybe he has one?

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Those are made in Japan for sure . I LOVE that wrap . I know some hate it . But I think it is awesome . I wish it was available on the 60s made in USA Kent drums .

Warning ... Avoid member statuscymbal here, vintage_collector on DFO , and americanpatriot10 on eBay. Email me for his name. All are the same shady guy who has burned me and a list of other members on both boards . He is also selling on Facebook too ..

Not me. I think that wrap is hideously ugly.

I think wrap color is all in the eye of the beholder. One man`s ugly is one man`s beauty.Personally i think it`s a phsycadelic(sp) style, which is unique like Mod Orange,Mardis Gras, etc. But like Dan Boucher said...wear your Ray-bans cause that wrap color pops 60`s BIG TIME!!! Even new shades won`t protect your eyes from those babies.Love em`...

If someone is interested in real Kent, there is a set on Reverb. It appears it is in a shop in Brooklyn, NY.

Wayne,

This was the step in between MIJ and the real drums you got in '67!
