My information about the silver sparkle kit came from Rob Cooks Ludwig book. It shows a photo in the collectors section,on the Gary Asher page stating that the kit was used in the movie. Page 123 if you would like to see for yourselves.

I always thought the drums he used at the beginning of the movie...in his Dad's store basement were "Slinger-Leedy's"

They seem to have Slingerland badges but Leedy lugs....

I love that movie...if any fans of the movie have the chance to see the unedited version...and the outtakes...it's REALLY worth it. There are a couple absolutely Killer scenes that didn't make the cut - but should have :)

'79 Slingerland "Blues Time" Maple 670T - 12,13,14,15,18,24
'68 Ludwig Silver Sparkle - 12,13,16,22,24
'79 Ludwig Vistalites clear - 12,13,16,22
Snares: '68 Ludwig Supraphonic 5x14, Ludwig 5 x 14 Black Beauty (modern), '70's Slingerland Buddy Rich TDR COB 6.5x14, DW 10/6 Maple 4x14, Pearl '70's COB 5x14, Slingerland 50's blue duco 6.5x14 & 5x14, Pork Pie "Little Squealer", Pearl Masters MCX maple 6.5x14

Agreed! Downloaded this movie fairly recently, and was pleasantly surprised to find a substantial amount of footage I'd not seen previously. If you like this movie, it's well worth checking out the extended edition.

Yes the only vintage set was the one i rented to the movie a wood Leedy set..The Ludwig W.M.P. set was not a vintage set it was a new Ludwig set with made up with vintage badges that my friend Todd Trent-{Ludwig Rep}- made up for the movie..A side note on T.T.Y.D. that whole movie was made in my home town Orange,ca along with about 100 other movie's from 1922 to 2112 and still counting....Mikey

I'm floored....those sets were yours.??!! How great is that!

Well, I guess this is one where we know the answer is undoubtedly THE answer!

Fantastic.
