Thanks for all the help here guys. REALLY appreciate it. You have made a tough decision easy for me.

I am going to go ahead and pick up the kit. Kevin, just so you understand, the original clip on spurs ARE included in the price. The only parts missing are 2 T handle rods on the bass drum. Everything else is there including cases. Im not sure if they are the original cases or not, but there are cases.

As I stated, I won't ever sell this thing so the whole resale thing isn't really a factor. I really want a WMP Radio King kit from this era in these sizes, and I think $1000 is a price I am comfortable paying for this kit. I plan on playing and appreciating this thing until I kick the bucket and then letting whoever might continue on after me decide what to do with them, so in the end the extra spurs don't really bother me THAT much I guess. The fact that they are actual Slingerland parts that the company suggested that people install makes it bother me even less.

So again, thanks so much guys. Really appreciate the help and research that went into making this decision easy on me. Ill get her all polished up and take some nice pictures for the forum.

EDIT: Oh I get it Kevin! You are saying I might be able to find the original EARLY version of the disappearing spurs. Got it! Sorry for being a little slow on that one!
