I have been searching for a 40's/early 50's Radio King snare in White Marine Pearl and have come across this mystery snare. First, it is advertised a Radio King. This drum only has 6 lugs per side. The top tension rods/claws look like the kind that would come with a wooden hoop. The inside looks correct as does the snare mechanism. I really do not know what this is. Any ideas?

I think that is either a 9x13 or a 12x14 converted to a snare drum. Doubtful that it is original.

The throw-off is either a 60's version or a Japanese knock-off.

I'd have to see it with heads off before I can say if it's a cut down. Too hard to tell. And the strainer could have been replaced at some point. We've seen that before.
