I may pull the trigger on these two RK toms 13" and 14". What years did they have wood hoops? Is the 14" a floor tom? These would look nice with my late 30's RK bass. Any info as far as age and a fair price to offer would be appreciated. They both have the original RK heads in good shape. Thanks..Rich.

I'm going to try to call the guy and get pics of the badge sides. I e-mailed him and he said the're brass cloud badges, we'll see when I get the new pics. If they are what he says than what would be a good offer. I do have a pic of the heads. Rich
There are no badges on RKs of this period, they are probably mid-late 40s
To expand on that the 14 will be 14 x 12 and was a rack tom, they probably have the remains of hoop mounted tom holders the probability is that the bass drum they were supplied with had streamline lugs as the larger beavertails came a little later.
These are nice toms and will sound great, for a price better ask someone from your side of the pond, bear in mind that the wrap inserts have gone from the hoops when bidding though.
Hey guys, thanks for all the info. Before I even got any pics we were talking around $300 for both shipped. I have to nail down a price by tomorrow (Fri.) What do you guys think? Rich.
That is a good price for both toms !
I'd snap them up, it's a personal thing but when you find a bass drum to match it may be an idea, rather than trying to match the wrap on the hoops to use gold sparkle instead it will look superb, get them bought they're lovely
