Rare Camco Pedal Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

I just bought this one from a local drummer http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-vintage-Camco-bass-drum-pedal-Oak-Lawn-Ill-logo-/140609320327?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item20bcf7f587

I've only seen one of these in the past! The outer casing is aluminum instead of cast. And as far as I know it's the only Camco product that spells Oak Lawn correctly instead of Oaklawn as seen on their badges, catalogs and parts.

1957 George Way BDP 26" concert bass drum
1959 George Way BDP 22/12/16 w/ 5.5x14
1959 George Way Green Sparkle 22/12/16 w/5.5x14
1961 George Way Blue Sparkle 20/12/15
1961 George Way Jelly Bean 20/12/14 w/4.5x14
1960’s Camco Oaklawn Champagne 20/12/14/16w/5x14
1971-73 Camco Chanute Walnut 24/14/18 w/5x14 COB

Nice find, Steve. That pedal has definitely found its appropriate second home! Interesting take on the "Oak Lawn" issue.

Most likely the first generation of the split footboard after Camco bought the rights to the pedal from Martin.

Not my pedal.
