Appears to be a Jazz Festival from what I can see. You should be able to pull the top head and inspect the top of the wrap to see what the original unfaded finish looks like. If its Galaxy, there should be various colors of sparkle present. If there are not multi colors of sparkle like green and red and maybe some blue, it could be Anniversary Sparkle. It's a desirable snare drum at any rate. '62 or '63 most likely with that badge and the bat muffler. Muffler felt should be red and the hoops would usually be brass.

That extra hole is for the newer muffler. I`m seeing two different hoop profiles too.

Yeah top hoop is the wrong one it's not brass and the extra hole holds the muffler in place its factory.

If you're referring to the small hole underneath the bat muffler, that's where the small machine bolt goes to secure the bat muffler bracket. Or is it another hole that you're seeing?

The batter hoop style suggests MIJ, as do most of the tension rods. And, yes, the hole below the bat handle is for the machine screw that secures the muffler frame. Still, it's a nice Jazz Festival in a cool finish!

My bad. I thought that muffler had the threaded shaft under the lever handle.
