Beautiful and bet they sound huge! I've only seen vistas with two heads. Is this concert tom setup special, is it missing bottom hoops, or do I just clearly not have much experience with the vistalite options?
Thanks,
Brian

Actually, there were a lot of Vistalite concert tom set ups manufactured. I am with Teverson on this; I bet this used to be a double bass kit or a kit with additional concert toms. You never know though.
Thanks guys I really don't know any history other than the guy I bought it from said this set was from Fantasy Recording studios (SF Bay area) and some famous drummers play it on recordings. I have no idea who that may have been??? The seller had owned them for many years and needed money drove 5 hours to deliver them so I said yes I would buy the set. Paid $700 with all hardware a Zildjians, Tama snare,I feel I got a good deal and love the fact that it's a ONE OF A KIND find!! If I find out any more info I will Post it!!! Thanks Jim

Yes a rare one to fine, like i said in emails to you on the set. Fining a matching Ludwig drums that would be very hard to do again try RCI shells i think they still will make matching drums for you...That was the set that was on C/L 700.00 was a great deal on these but as you know the set is missing the other 2 toms and bass..B.T.W. i listed a same pattern snare drum not the same color's as your's on the forum under For Sale.....Mikey
Is this set really missing anything? There isn't any reason to believe this was ever a double bass set. When Vistalites first came out, I remember seeing many Vistalite sets displayed in music stores throughout Connecticut and New York, and 9 times out of 10, they were 5 piece sets (12-13-16-22 w/matching snare) in either clear, blue, or red. With six different shell patterns to chose from, and eight different colors, most of these sets with uncommon pattern/color combinations were custom ordered (with the exception of maybe Tequilla Sunrise and Jelly Bean kits), so there's no reason to believe this 13-14-18-24 set (popular rock sizes) didn't arrive as just a 5 piece custom order.

Choose which artist might it be if it's true what seller told:

I Can agree with that!! Don't think it was a 2 bass set?
