Does anybody have any experience with mixing RCI acrylic shells with Ludwig Vistalites? (especially red)...

If you plan to use Ludwig hardware on the RCI nobody should be able to tell them apart without a very close inspection of the shell. The current line of Ludwig Vista's uses RCI shells if I'm not mistaken.

And didn't fairly recent "copies" of Ludwig Vistas use RCI shells?:rolleyes:

Well, that's good news. I'm looking for the impossible; a 14" x 14" red vistalite ('ya got one?) and just want to make sure everyone's gonna match before dumping a bunch of $$ into an RCI shell. Thanks fellas!

I don't even think there will be an discernible color difference. My buddy Joeyboom has a custom Amber RCI kit that is identical in color to the Ludwig amber Vista's. Go for it. By the time you find a 14"x14" Ludwig, your beard will be long and gray! Life is short...
