i'm about to, with a Krylon spray paint specially formulated for plastic, called "Fusion"

can't see why it wouldn't work; just waiting for a slightly warmer day so i can spray outdoors

Well, it came out looking like a super-white Fibreskyn... I went for a super- thin coat, mostly just to clean up the cosmetics

No change in sound, but i'll have to see if it peels or flakes (although i sanded the previous coating with 240 silicate carbide paper)

If I remember correctly, it was called Ruff Kote That was a discontiued item that I looked for a few years ago. I think that there was some EPA issue with it.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Check this out: http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=27

I tested this on an old head and it looks good (bright white). Feels like a new coated head.

Yes, Ludwig put that product out years ago, I think it was discontinued around 1978 or so. Yes, the EPA had issues with it, which is why Ludwig dropped it. It was good stuff.
