I'm going with WMP. Very close to the original.

When I saw this member's name responding to this question, I immediately figured that he would recommend a camouflage paint job for the drums.:)
I would recommend the large pattern Black Diamond Pearl that differentiates Slingerland and Leedy drums from the other brands. You also can't go wrong with a Red or Blue Glass Glitter. I would second the motion that someone else made for Red Satin Flame for that Blues Brothers vibe. I have a long-standing aversion to Silver Sparkle. But, they are your drums to wrap as you please.
After carefully considering all of the options, and what is available, plus figuring you didn't want to be cliche about it, I came up with:
Black Sparkle
This was, in my opinion, one of the cooler, less ubiquitous finishes offered by Slingerland back then.
I like the idea and look of Satin Flame finishes, but they are a real ***** to maintain.
Yeah,I like black sparkle, also. And mentioned before,Slingerland deep blue sparkle, and Slingerland WMP is about as classy as you can get.

Satin flame is gorgeous, relatively rare, and very inexpensive. You can source it from Canal Plastics and get enough to do the whole kit for under $75.
But yeah, it's a royal pain to maintain. I did a kit in satin and it had some pretty bad nicks and gouges just from the wrapping process.
Glass glitter is more expensive and a bear to work with, but the look is beyond compare. I saw Levon Helm last month, and he's touring with a red glitter Gretsch kit. Those drums lit up the room.

For Slingys, it should be black glass glitter, no?
