Just how rare is [was] this finish in the MIJ lineups.Im assuming y,all know the finish im referring to?

I haven't seen too many MIJ kits in Red Onyx. The typical wraps were sparkles and marine pearl. Lots of exceptions, though! Jonnistix will certainly know more about this!

Is there a time line for this finish being offered?.I,ve never seen an MIJ kit ever in this,so i have no idea of when it was available.

Wayne,The finish could be from 1966 to about 1972..Yes it is a rare finish to fine on a M.I.J. set...Hope that the set is complete as far as the drums because fineing a missing drum will take alot of time...Mikey

Wayne, what are they asking for the set? I would say if the set's in good condition and complete i would pay from 200.00-300.00 because of the finish...Mikey

I paid 150,but i got a set of New Beat 60,s hats and a Stewart 60,s [Star] COS snare in excellent condition with the kit,AND a few pieces of crappy hardware thrown in.
