once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I had a wonderful very very early Sabian HH 18 crash cymbal that was a stunner. I miss that one. I also had a full set (16,17,18,19) HHXtreme crashes matched with a 20 Weckl ride that I miss.

I don't necessarily regret parting with them, but I do miss the sounds from time to time.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I've sold many great snares, & sets. But I enjoy the business, & always find something surprising around the bend.

I traded away some nice kits in my youth (I was a dumb kid - didn't know what I had at the time). Most notably a 70's Gretsch 5 piece in Walnut stain, a mega huge Ludwig Stainless kit, and a late 70's Ludwig SBP Big Beat (which I have finally replaced).

1979/83 Tama Superstar Frankenkit
Modern Ludwig Black Beauty

ty for the words i never thought id be partial to that silver peal downbeat but it was starting to grow on me, oh well some joker offered me 200 for the snare id frame it first and hang it on a wall as the art it truly is ive really come to appreciate the craftsmanship of the early luddys

Oh man!!!

I remember that kit! I was a gnats hair from buying it from you. There's a regret - not buying it from you. Dang!

WHO IN THE HECK WOULD REWRAP THAT STUNNER???!!!
