I have an early 1970s Ludwig kit that has the smaller curved spurs, but I'd like to switch to something a little more reliable that still has a classic vintage look. I know the Gibraltar fold out spurs will fit the 2" hole spacing, but will the legs be too long? Or is there a better alternative to these?

I'd consider sticking with the original spurs but adding a front hoop anchor. They work like a charm.
