I posted a few days ago about the yard sale find 71 Ludwig Mod Orange Jazz Club Date kit that I was lucky to get. I completed the clean-up and mild resto so I posted a ton of pictures to photobucket. link below. http://photobucket.com/drumstuff

These are set up in my livingroom, so the wife says they have got to go. I am posting them to Ebay tonight probably.

Oh, thank you all for all of the helpful information that you provided through my last posts. I buy, fix, and sell quite a few musical instruments but I have never consentrated on drums. Being a drummer for many years means that I always fell in love with any drums that I got, so I stayed away from them. Not having the room, or the financial security to be able to keep them was kind of a bummer. Now I am hooked on restoring drums. Even though I can't always keep them, I simply love fixing them up and having the satisfaction of making something so beautiful, then getting them in the hands of someone that will enjoy them.

I expect that you'll net quite a tidy profit from your investment. Well done!

That set came out great! I saw your ebay auction and it said you live in Epsom NH. Is that correct? I live in Chichester and would love to see the set before it sells. I have been collecting mod orange drums for a bit and know quite a bit about them. Good luck with your sale!

Wow, you live practically next door. That's amazing to meet up on here.

That Ebay listing took me about 2 hours to write because I didn't want to leave anything out, but it sure is a long winded description. I had no idea how to price it either. This is my first vintage Ludwig set that has come through my hands. If it were an electric guitar or saxophone, I would know what I was doing. Maybe I should work a trade locally for a bunch of non-drum gear that is easier for me to sell and ship.
