Glenn -- I'm still going to have all kinds of parts and various projects--cuz I'll never be ambitious enough to sort them out. Seriously!

Thanks, man

Well, We all have to do it sometime... I gave it away 15 years ago, but around 3 years ago was contacted by some long time buddy's to give it another shot. That's when I found this forum while looking for some restore tips etc. So now I have some upcoming paying gigs to look forward to and spur me on..

Whatever happens. your credentials should always say "Drummer".... not "Ex Drummer"

Cheers

John

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Whether you sell your stuff or not your still going to be a drummer. It's what you are and you can't stop being one just because you stopped playing or got rid of your gear.

It's scary, that's all. You have to do what ever you have to do. But for many of us I find that we look forward to when we CAN retire from day jobs, and we dread the day we may be FORCED to retire from drumming.

It actually motivated me to work on my health/fitness so I can continue to be an active drummer! So we don't want to see a fellow drummer choose to retire! It's scary!!

Ah, hell, there's going to be some good stuff left here for sure. Enough so that if I get inspired again, it'll be easy to step back.

You know what?? I'm thinking about getting a small sailboat...
