Too cool for school. So there ware actually 3 snare drums?

Wow,I always thought there was only one.

I think if just one of those kits were auctioned off,it would top the million dollar mark.

Thanks for posting that.I'll take the train, ferry and train into Manhattan tomorrow.

The #2 OBP in the Grammy Museum at the moment have English Rogers Swivo mounts. I would assume that these will have too if done in Drum City.

If anyone drops by it would be nice to know if the collet plates say "Rogers" - in which case they are USA or "Swiv-o-Matic" - English.

Thanks.

From Mike Curotto

Very cool!!!Is that drum throne the correct one? I thought Ringo used that oval model.Mike Curotto

That is the right throne. I've never yet found a single picture of Ringo using a Ludwig porto seat (the red oval shaped throne) that often get sold as "Ringo Thrones". The only other throne was a round top "Drum and timpani stool" and that was only on the first American visit.

Pretty awesome that so many Ringo Beatle drums are on display right now, of course nowhere handy for us in the "flyover" states to go see.

So where is Dave Golding today? He might be able to answer some questions about these mounts.

Very, very cool. Does anybody have any information on the serial numbers on Ringo's drums? I've always been very curious about where they fell in the serial number range. I know that this first (and maybe second) kit was pre-serial, but what about the others? Has anyone documented this?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
