Purchasing some beautiful drums from him many years ago remains one of my more memorable experiences. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Mr faust was a memorable man his passion for percussion was epic, his drum shop was trip back in time. The best part of being there was Mr Faust closing his shop just for me and taking the time to talk to me about Canada and Canadian drummers, my moment in time with Bill will be with me for ever, rip Bill.

I envy all of you who actually knew this colorful character, heard the stories and, especially, got to see all of the "hidden treasures." I was a customer in the 70s and 80s but back then I only saw him as a bitter, angry man, and was astonished that he could stay in business with that kind of attitude.

I'd always assumed he was a drummer himself, but don't know for sure. (Frankly, I was afraid to ask him. Pretty hesitant to ask him any questions about anything at all.) Does anyone know his musical background?
