Peace... and blessings
Sad news.
I loved his style of playing - he played with such command and what looked like great ease. I saw him at a drum clinic....small place in Vancouver B.C. in the 70's. At that time he had every second tom electric....something he was experimenting with...just an awesome drummer. R.I.P. Mr. Shaughnessy.
Sad news. I was lucky to hear him play and get some tips from him at the 2012 Chicago show. He sure seemed like a class 1 guy.
Thank you!

Sad news in deed. The pieces in the mosaic of my adolescence seem to keep fading away, more and more frequently.
It was always great to watch him ,drive the Tonight Show Orchestra. The guy also had the largest(mutton chops I believe) sideburns I've ever seen.It part if his signature look.
The guy could also give Buddy, a run for his money.
RIP big Ed,you'll be missed.

He will be missed by our generation. I always looked forward to the tonight show because of him and I Buddy.
