Hi Guys,

My eldest son has invited me along with him to the Teluride bluegrass festival held in Colorado coming June. I'm putting it out there for some suggestions of places to visit. (for someone with an interest in Vintage Drums & music generally).

I have not been to the USA before, so this is an exciting opportunity to gather some further knowledge & experiences. Humungus Drum shops & music museums Etc would fit the bill. The trip iternary is looking like. Kick off in Austin Texas, then to

San Antonio

Alburquerque/Sante Fe

Flagstaff

Vegas

Grand Junction

Teluride (festival)

Denver

Amarillo & back to Austin.... Any suggestions appreciated.. Cheers

I know it's not drum related, but you can go wrong with hitting the Grand Canyon when youre in Flagstaff and Carlsbad Caverns on the way to Alerquerque.

Oh..Oh, Seems like a bit of a bump in the road.. or maybe just a speed hump?

No good Drum stores etc,etc along this stretch of highway ?

How's about Austin & Vegas? must be something to see for an old Slingerlander from OZ

I'm not too sure of drum shops either but Kachina's Mexican restaraunt in Flagstaff has a pretty good dish called Mexican Steak......

Ok, so there's nothing for a drummer to check out in.. Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, or Colorado...?? how about Nashville.. (now looks like my son may be involved playing in the early June CMA festival).. C'mon Guys must be some Local Yocal Stuff?? or do I head to Siberia instead.
