Hi Folks,
I stumbled on a set today with the signature "Robert R. Keller" in all 3 shells.
The writing looks identical in all 3 shells so I don't think it's hand-written.
Has anybody ever seen this before?
Regards
Yes, there were signature shells, but I don't remember the specifics.
I am thinking a late `90s- early `2000s.
I think it is burned into the wood.
coming from a indie drum co. point of view, we used to get pallets of shells with the name burned in the shells until a certain year, which i don't recall when that was.
Thanks guys, great input.
My reason for asking,...
I went to look at a potential high value 1960's set.
The hardware (badges, lugs, mounts, etc...) looked pretty much original but the shells were obviously not.
One of the previous owners must have been a very creative do it yourselver.
I hoped that the stamps in the shell would tell a more precise date when it was done.
Reading your replies it must be mid 1990's to 2000.

the nice bright shiny screws that hold the lugs dont look to original either...
