I have a WMP Rogers pre-badge dynasonic snare drum that appears to have never been played. I was wondering what something like this could bring at auction..?

From very little to a lot. How can you get an appraisal with out pics?

If it is a "pre-badge" then does it have a paper tag inside?

I don't know about this drums authenticity or value, but according to the Rogers book/Steve Maxwell, "probably less than 50" pre-badge wood dynasonics were made, "most of which did not survive".

It looks like the pre-badge dyna in Maxwells collection is (was?) also a WMP and hardly (if ever) played.

Sounds like you may potentially have a pretty rare drum on your hands. Is there a story behind how you came upon it?

A very valuable and expensive drum you have there....

Nice drum. Looks right. I have seen a couple paper tag wood shell dynas, but they are not common. Wouldn't mind having that beauty in my collection.

Congratulations, nice find. Very hard to put a price on it as this is pretty much for the die hard Rogers collector with some disposable income, and not much of a track record on previous sales of paper tag wood shell dynas.

If it was pre-badge then shouldn't it have a first generation frame? The early badged ones had a first generation frame. Or have I missed something.

The WMP looks very white.
