Rogers 8X14 Wood Dyna Last viewed: 46 minutes ago

Loading...

Hi guys,

I am a bit of a Rogers nerd but primarily a player. I've just found rogers to be very reliable and i tour a lot.

I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of the value of a 8X14 wood shell (natural finish) Dynasonic?

I have one, bought a while back but i think it's not really working for me. Not as loud or "heavy" as i had hoped.

But i do sell i don't wanna let it go too cheap! It is missing the dynasonic snare frame (well i have but want to keep it) but the rest is there, no major damage and it has all ten of those golden washers/screws that go on the tuning rods.

thanks.

What heads were you using on it?

Excellent condition complete, 400.00

Excellent condition minus rail 300.00

Minus rail with finish issues.........-200

Post pics Ill make you an offer. Maybe even an offer in trade.

Thanks guys,

Can't get to a camera for a bit but will do my best. I figured these were worth more than the COBs since you see them far less. I did see one ONCE for for over $800 but that was a few years ago.

I think i've tried it with an emperor and emperor X but have not tried it with the Dyna Frame yet.

Coated Ambassador or Diplomat, two turns above finger tight.

I remember seeing the 8 incher for over 800 on ebay, but ..... it did not sell, repeatedly it did not sell. When it got down to 500, he decided to keep it. The price was fantasyland. Occasionally one will fetch more than Four, but mostly, just under for premium condition is the norm for these drums. The 6.5 x 14 drums however will get more, up to about 700 for premium condition, depending on the number of bidders. The five inch versions, ...... well, you wont touch one for under 600, and most want more.

I own several of these drums, 6.5 inch Supertens and Dynasonics and 8 inch Supertens. I am in the market for an 8 inch Dynasonic, complete of course. Without funny business or issues.

Ambassador or Diplomat = one gig for me! No way i can afford to use those heads. But thanks for the advice.

I agree most people over tighten their snare drums though.

I do miss the days of being able to use single ply heads but it's just not the sound i go for these days. No use for hard hitting stuff.

If i was to sell this it would be complete minus the frame. I'll post here before trying ebay. But i am in Australia so postage to USA is fairly hefty.

There is a guy in australia who might be interested in your drum. Without the frame, its not complete, and the frame wont work on a standard drum. You can hook it up, but the snare beds will defeat its purpose. As for shipping to the USA, there is no import duty.

Cool i'll let people know if i am going to sell. I won't sell for less than i paid though.

This one never had the frame with it. I have a frame but use it on my 6.5"

Never had a frame, did it have dyna hoops? or did it come with standard snare hoop. If so, and that hoop was Rogers, then, this is a superten, not a dynasonic.
