This is a mid 60's Black Diamond Pearl Luxor in really great condition. Here is the thread I started when I purchased the drum:

The drum is in the same condition since I completed a thorough cleaning. Here are some details:

[*]Bantam strainer (cleaned and lubricated)

[*]tension rods look to be original (sharp square heads)

[*]6 lugs in great condition, some with very minor dings (hey it's 45+ years old)

[*]flat gray shell interior in great condition

[*]bearing edges clean and sharp

[*]way cool serial number of 10000

[*]initials of RLS on the Cleveland paper tag (possibly built by Rogers employee - Richard Studebaker)

This drum is ready to play. Take it out of the box, put it on a stand, adjust head tension to your suit your taste and have at it. In it's current setup, it has that Rogers "crispy" sound. Review the pictures I have attached, you won't be disappointed. If you need additional pictures, ask and I will provide them.

Other wrapped Luxor snares have been going between $150 to $230 on *bay with and additional $25 to $30 for shipping.

I am looking for $200 + actual shipping costs and insurance (lower 48 states only), which I feel is a very fair price for a drum in this condition. I'll de-tension the heads prior to shipping, wrap the drum in bubble wrap and stuff the box with packing peanuts.
