Was this the one on ebay? If so, I was so tempted.
Rogers Big R kit Last viewed: 0 seconds ago
Was not...CL find.
Nice score. Having that link to a famous player is worth a lot! VERY clean kit too, and well worth what you paid even without the connection.
Good job!
What is the plan for this kit?
Red Ripple '70's Yamaha D-20 20b-12-14f
Piano Black Yamaha Recording Custom Be-Bop kit 18b-10-14f
Snares:
Yamaha COS SDM5; Yamaha Cobalt Blue RC 5-1/2x14; Gretsch round badge WMP; 1972 Ludwig Acrolite; 1978 Ludwig Super Sensitive; Cobalt Blue one-off Montineri; Yamaha Musashi 6.5X13 Oak; cheap 3.5X13 brass piccolo
Man those look brandy new! Nice score and the RB connection really makes them that much more special. Congrats.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

That tom and snare look great! I must have been seeing things. When can we see the whole kit?
Will get them set up soon...wont be all polished, but still very clean. Taking the batters off and replacing them...dont want to damage the signatures :)
Not really sure what I'm going to do just yet with them. Will never un my lifetime find another kit like this in condition as well as history. Thanks for all the comments as well...keeps the fire going so to speak!
Let me know if you would like pictures of the progress...would be more than happy to share.

So there're 5ply with re-rings? That Dyna looks immaculate! Congrats Clapping Happy2

Nevin... WOW.
I guess I'm going to have to get my wife watching CL a LOT closer than she has been! She watches CL in Wichita, Tulsa, Joplin pretty close for me, but rarely watches the KC, Topeka, or Salina areas... which one was this in (just curious!)?

Great looking kit. The back story and documentation are priceless.
I guessing that kit has some low mileage on it.
Check out Roy's information page on the Aquarian Drumheads website.

Congrats.

Cam...indeed! You are correct! Cleaned up the 13" last night....not a flaw anywhere...looks like he didn't play it much, but took damn good care of it for the past 35 years.
Bill, it was Wichita. Was the first to respond...as the guy told me that he had interest in it from MO. Had to take off work a couple hours, but well worth it.
