Rogers Butcher Blocks re-wrap candidate? Last viewed: 14 hours ago

I have set of 9/72 tag Rogers Butcher Blocks in excellent, near mint condition (I'll post pix soon). 16X22, 8X12, 9X13 and 16X16. The BB wrap is starting to come loose on a seam or two. Do you think I should sell these as is, if I decide to, or get them re-wrapped and keep them as my main kit? If I do decide to re-wrap should I attempt to do it myself or have a pro like Precision Drum do it? What also prompted me to think about doing this is that the BB wrap is not even lined up correctly on 2 of the drums - I'm surprised Rogers QC didn't catch that. Thanks.

If they mint and you like them I would re wrap them,as long as you think you are going to keep them.Right now it is a buyers market, and at one time people were getting 600.00 to 800.00 for swivo 70's kits but not right now,and butcher block kits have always been less desirable.Personally I like them, and I am a rogers guy.If the wrap was put on that badly, that does not help resale, and I have no idea what it would cost to correct it.I don't think the 70's roger will be real collectable anytime soon,so I would get them wrapped by a pro in something you have always wanted, and enjoy them.I don't know if it is possible but you may be able to salvage and save the wrap if you wanted to go back.In this market you might get 500.00 tops, and you would have to spend a lot more money than that to get a kit that sounds as good and is as well built.
