Rogers Drums Help Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Loading...

OK, I just picked up this Rogers kit, after a further inspection I have a few concerns as I don't know a lot about Rogers.

1.) The double tom holder mount is closer to the kick side, other kits I've seen had it closer to the resonant side and no, there are no extra holes.

2.) All the drums have the speckled grey interiors, but the 12" tom looks more speckled than the others and it's the only one with a tag.

Thanks.

I've never seen one with it so close to the batter side, it makes ir a little more difficult to position the toms. Any ideas about the 12" tom?

My old silver sparkle Fullerton kit had the same tom mount position. I got the kit used in 71-72 so I'm not sure the exact year. But did have Fullerton Holiday tags and speckled interiors. Mine was a 22-12-12-16 and 14 chome PT snare.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

Here's a pic of the interior of the 13" tom, the other two are like this one with no tags.

That mount was either a special order from the plant, or a dealer install.

At that time, the drums could be a little inconsistant from one to another. They probably came from different batches of paint, or could have been made several weeks apart. Those small 9/72 tags can easily fall off, not surprising. I wouldn't worry, the drums look physically the same.

OK, I just wanted to make sure there was no funny business going on before I try to move them, I really appreciate the help, thanks.

yup...everything looks good..

the bass mount was most likely installed at the music store that sold them..

The smaller tags do come off easier then the older/bigger ones..

Look at the inside of the 13"/16" shell where the 3 lil nails are that are holding on the Scripted logo...(The paper tags should have been glues on there..(to cover up the nails from showing)..

These are basically the same drums as my 69 Fullerton kit..
