Rogers Dynasonic ID help Last viewed: 2 hours ago

A mystery indeed... LOL! There really is NO WAY that it would have left the Rogers factory assembled that way... plus! ... notice that the resonant/bottom head on your drum is an Evans, which Rogers never used/supplied... meaning ... someone had to change out the bottom head at some point in the drum's life, and that would necessitate removing the hoop with the guards attached and the snare frame of course... mystery solved! :-D Upon reassembly, the hoop was put on "backwards" with relation to the guards/butt/strainer, thus the snare frame was remounted backwards as well. Really not a problem and an EASY fix! Regardless, a beautiful and well maintained drum irrespective of the wrongly installed hoop/snare frame.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

jaghog!...

Your COB 7 line Dynasonic, with a serial number of #9821, dates to 1966. Value is totally contingent on CONDITION despite the fact that you have an excellent/desirable year drum. Could be a nice find there! Pics? Pics will tell all!

Haha good one. No matter what he says about never being serviced, it does look like NOS.

Let me know if it goes up on eBay.

SamS!...

NOS wasn't in question here at all!... ( the drum does indeed look MINT! ) ... so hows 'bout the bottom/resonant head isn't OEM. Rogers NEVER installed Evans brand heads during any point in their production history, and certainly NOT in 1967... 'twas all Remo. Plus, again, there's no way this drum would have left the Rogers facility with the bottom hoop/guards installed... backwards. Just didn't happen, especially so during this period when Rogers was still KING with regard to manufacturing/assembly/service. All this said...

a BEAUTIFUL specimen indeed!! Well worth your interest should 008452 offer it up for sale!

Good pick up. I just thought your response was quite reserved given the OP's assertions.
