Hello all, Just picked up a 12" Rogers Holiday, Dayton tom. I think it is gray ripple but I have looked at the rogers catalogs on this site and can't tell if it gray or faded blue. The color under the lugs has a bit more shade of blue than the uncovered part of the wrap. Sorry I have only the crappy picture from the Craiglist ad. I have little to no knowledge about Rogers finish's but I am curious to know if either the blue or gray ripple is desireable? Also it has SN of 83795. Flat gray interior. My research showed that is dated to Aprox. 1967. Is that about right?? I have left my camera at the In-Laws house, (hopefully they won't sell it on me) hope to get it back tomorrow and get some better pics up. By the way I paid $35 for the tom and a cheapo Pearl steel snare. Gotta love craigslist!!!

good deal, both are desirable, its a late drum for that finish, and good luck.

Thanks Ploughman!! Do you think I am better off selling this as is or paying for lugs and bottom rim before I sell it.

Unfaded Steel Grey Ripple has a bit of a blue tint to it and I have never seen a Sky Blue Ripple fade to that dark of a look so I am placing my money on Steel Grey Ripple for the tom. What a great finish!
