I have a chance to buy a 4-piece Rogers kit with COB Dyna, all original hardware, pedal, hi-hat stand and some other hardware. The finish looks like Ludwig BOP, they are Holidays made in Cleveland for just under $1000. Finish is faded, all original hoops, etc. How rare is this kit and/or any Rogers guys have any input as to the finish. Kit is 22, 13, 16 and 14 x 5 5-line Dynasonic.

I'm curious, are there any pictures of the kit?
My first kit, 1983 Ludwig Rocker? (it has the classic lugs and 4ply maple shell) 22,12,13,16 ..now in black oyster pearl. I still have it
Stop Sign USA Gretsch (80's), black nitron jasper shell 22,12,13,16
1995 Fibes Austin,Texas Badge (original owner) 22,10,12,16,18 in natural wood
USA 2007 Rosewood Gretsch 22,13,16 w/12inch 70's Rosewood Gretsch tom
Really need more details, non factory modifications and extra holes will lower the value.need to know the exact name of the finish, whether the lugs are beavertails or bread and butter ,cleveland holidays with beavertails are the most collectable,
Cleveland holidays can be from 1957? to 1966 with the beavertails being 1963 to 66,Most of the 4 pc kits from that ere were 20 kick 12 mt 16 ft,with 14 floor toms being rare and valuable, the 22 kick I think is really rare and unusual, how that would affect the value I woud'nt know, but I don't know the value. With a 60's dyna with the snare frame and the wrap being intact under a 1000.00 sounds pretty like a good deal to me, Others that have more knowledge will probably chime in soon.
I believe that they are Blue Strata Pearl. No extra holes except a Rogers tom mount for two toms. The kit was originally a four-piece, with the two offset mounts for tom and bass drum cymbal holder. All of the parts as I said are original, included in the deal are the original tom holder and cymbal holder, The Dyna and all the Swivo hardware. I put a down on the kit. I guess I was just looking for the rarity of the color and sizes more so than value. The price to me is fair.
Sounds like a decent price.
If the color is blue strata, it's a rare finish. I have the same kit and have been trying to find a 12inch tom and a second floor tom to go with it for a few years. I have a Fullerton, so, the Ohio model you're looking at is even cooler. Here's a picture of my kit, the picture is not really showing the blue.

That looks just like the finish, except it's a bit duller. It will need some cleaning, but I think it will clean up nice. I have a Rogers Big R 5 piece that I think will be looking for a home soon....

You're a lucky guy, an Ohio tag blue strata is rare and you have the dynasonic, too! I think $1000 is a fair price. Great drums.
