Hi all,

So have been after a Rogers kit for a while and have found this....22,12,13 and 16, no snare or hardware.

It's up for $1200 so just wanted to guauge opinion before I go and see it as it's a couple of hundred miles away! Any info/opinions would be gratefully received! Thanks, Alex Help2

Looks like a "Top Hat" setup missing a tom in champagne sparkle. No bad on the price but one sold on the bay not long ago for about that with a snare.

Thanks for that...just spoken to the seller and he says it's a Fullerton so ('68 to '72ish?) Londoner 12,13 16,22 Champagne Sparkle.

There is some splitting of the wrap on the 16 but I reckon if it was mint it'd be worth much more?

The dual tom mounting hardware should be included at that price or $150 deduction is in order for the tom mount and another $150 deduction for the split wrap on the tom. I would not drive 200 miles for that set unless it was priced no higher than $900 as is.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I would think you have some decent negotiating room if he is starting at $1,200. Before driving I would do some negotiating pending site approval.

By the way, it doesn't matter to me how one chooses to play a kit, (in this case one up and one down) is it just that difficult to set up everything you are selling and photograph it? We see kits all the time with three or four toms noted in the item details but only two or three in the photograph. If one is asking $1,200 for a kit, spend five minutes to set it all up for crying out loud. Rant over.

Pretty kit by the way.

Yeah I asked him about the tom holder and he said not at that price. To be fair I've seen these kits go here (in the UK) for $1700 in mint condition.......

Considering that you are overseas, decent kits go for a lot more than in the US. If the kit includes the tom hardware and the 12 and 13" toms, I think his asking price is fair. Shipping that kit from here to there could be as much as $300, and that drives the prices for you as much as anything else.
