Rogers impulse buy Last viewed: 1 hour ago

Well I pulled the trigger on this one today. I traded in some of my old Zildjians and paid $900 out the door. What do you guys think?

The good; all original hardware. They offered me also a swan leg hi hat stand and snare stand cheap. I really didn't need the kit as it is so I turned that down. Anyway it has all Dayton tags.

The bad; some cracks in the wrap. I never noticed this until they took the bass drum and floor tom down.

Overall its a nice matching kit.

I will see if I like this or the Ludwig more and keep the one I like more.

It's a beautiful kit and some of the finest drums ever made... IMHO anything under $1000 for that kit is a very good price.

Congrats on your purchase... play'em every day!

Picked it up from Sam Ash! The hardware is still there but I really didn't need it. FWIW I gig the Gibraltar flush base vintage stuff and I love it! I used that and the DW flat base gear. So if anyone wants a swan leg hi hat stand and snare stand they have it.

Excellent buy and congrats! The Luddys and Rogers from that era are the best North American made drums ever.Me being a Rogers guy, i lean abit more towards those drums, but it`s all in the "Ear of the Beholder".Good luck with your decision-will be a tough one!

B E A utiful kit! Would love to find out which kit you like better after the "test runs".

Impulse buying is when you turn around, and have 20+ kits, and never find the time to give ALL of them a test run :)
