Here's a warmup jam from a studio session with Jah & I, my reggae band. The lyrics make me laugh! I'm playing a 69' Rogers Starlighter w/ 68' Dynasonic. https://soundcloud.com/jah-15/rooster

Big up to the Stratford clan! Like you said, Wayne, the drum sounds took care of themselves. I was in a basement, surrounded by thick velour curtains with the dyna set up very dry. The drums did the rest. Every time I record with this kit the engineers love it. The hihat is a combo of an old 15" Zildjian (no made in usa under stamp) paired with a Sabian AA crash underneath. I really like the nasty "shhhhhh" they produce when opened.

Thanks for the kind words! Here's a radio teaser video thingy we did this year. I'm playing an Apk floor (kick),premier 1026 snare, wood block, 404 hats and an 18" hhx crash. We were all crammed into a bathroom sized studio with the drums on the other side of the door LOL vimeo.com/64491798

At 4 seconds you can see weather strips gaffed onto a hydraulic head on the makeshift kick...ain't very pretty ( :
