Hi all - I'm looking to get my hands on a few items for a '66 Tophat kit...

- one long hex single tom arm/holder

- two 9" hex bass drum spurs with rubber feet

- 6 of the little screws that hold the hex floor tom legs

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

DB10

May I see the pic of the tom arm you need. I have a single but think you need a special looking one.

Hi Rogersoholic - thanks for getting back to me. I actually don't have a picture of the one I need. I'm very new to the Rogers community, so I'm sort of learning as I go...I find this forum to be really helpful. Anyway, the Tophat kit has two 12" toms each mounted with a short tom holder; these are then mounted onto a single, long hex rod that goes into the center of bass drum. I've actually taken one of the hex bass drum spurs, as well as one of the short tom hex holders, and mounted each one into the bass drum collet. It was really the only way for me to check to see if the long tom holder would fit/work, so I'm assuming it does based on this. The kit is a 5-piece, but I use a 4-piece set-up live and I can't seem to find a comfortable spot for the mounted tom with the hardware I have. I hope this all makes sense...

Thanks for your help,

DB10

Do you need parts for the early Rogers double tom mount?

You can tell,as it would have a provision for a cymbal right in the middle of the 2 toms.

Also, the mounts would be where 1 shaft coming out is hex rod,the other round.

I have those mounts if thats what you need......

Hey Mike, how old is that photo? With that haircut, you look just like one of the Eloi in the original 'Time Machine' movie! Uncanny!

The top hat were done away with in 65 but would make you one upon request. In 66/67 the dual mount looks like this. This ones from the early 70's
